Bluetooth is a wireless technology that makes short-range connections between devices at distances up to 10 meters. Obstacles such as walls and interference with microwave ovens can reduce the range.
How do wireless speakers work? Wireless speakers connect to devices via Bluetooth, wi-fi, or both. A Bluetooth connection establishes a one-to-one connection between the source device (phone, tablet, laptop or TV) and the speaker, through which digital audio data is transmitted; this operation is known as "pairing."
